Men Doing Fellowship

Our mission statement sums up what we are about:

“Building relationships which help men reach others for Jesus”.

Our organisation has been running for the past twelve years and is inclusive of all ages.

MDF Seeks to reach out to our men within the congregation.

Our committee is made up of Kenneth McCauley, Frank Millen, Desmond Glendinning, William McDowell, Victor Boyd, Stephen Currie, Stewart Wright and John Richmond.

We have had a varied programme over the years, including breakfasts with various guest speakers, attending sporting events, places of interest, outreach events and also we have a men’s singing group who produced a CD called “In Need Of Grace” to mark ten years of our organisation.

Four of our men recently went to Tullamore in Co. Offaly to do PCI outreach at the National Ploughing Championships. There has also been outreach work carried out in Cork for the past fifteen years with two or three of our men going down annually to help Colin Jenkins, Port Missionary with Seafarer’s Christian Friends Society (SCFS) in his work.

We have ongoing plans for more events in the future and all our men within the congregation are always encouraged to attend. Each year we have a men’s weekend with a breakfast and men’s service in the church where we encourage the men to take part. We have testimonies and praise at these events and we open it out to include the congregation, young and old to support us.
